Meet the team

Owner

I currently own and manage Elation. I started working here, with my mom, right out of High School, and slowly worked my way up through all the positions until I took over completely in 2013. Since then, I have continued to grow in my knowledge and increased the complexity of both the accounting and tax work I have taken on.

I achieved my Distinguished Financial Advisor- DFA- Bookkeeping Service Specialist, and do at least two seminars per year to keep up with new legislation and updates. I also obtained my Certified Professional Bookkeeper Designation (CPB) in 2021.

I love the outdoors. My ultimate goal is to have a better work/life balance so I can enjoy spending time with my family camping, hiking, and skiing. I love to be on the water as well, getting out on my paddle board whenever I can, and I also volunteer with a community group weekly.

Bookkeeper & Taxes

I really love working with our whole team! I feel like I have the cutest office mates, we laugh a lot and I learn so much from everyone. Our clients are amazing people and I love watching them grow in business and seeing their life change in exciting ways.

I started in administration at EEI, but have taken on more roles and training over the past year. I have loved being able to dive more fully into a bookkeeping role, and assisting clients with QBO setup and questions.

When I’m not at work, my husband and I go camping, go to live concerts and spend time with the people we love.

Bookkeeper

Before EEI, I worked at Winners as the Coordinator in the warehouse. I love working with the team here at EEI as head bookkeeper - they are always striving to do their best and help people.

My primary function at EEI is data entry. I specialize in bookkeeping, bank reconciliations for clients and am the office organizer extraordinaire. I am always ready for the new challenges given to me.

When I am not at work I love being in the outdoors! I go swimming, hiking and am learning to play the guitar. I love cheese and bacon and people who love cheese and bacon haha. Recovering ice cream addict. Lol. Alright you got me - food in general.

Greeter

My main job is to greet all the customers, and make sure they pet me. I am very good at it.

My favorite toy is Tank, the chihuahua, but he won't play with me.🤨 I love to chase balls, and run in the forest. The dog park is my favorite place to go- so many new friends!

Office Manager

I have worked at Elation for just about a year now. I have over 20 years of administrative experience, and am now office manager. I find joy in helping others, and maintaining a peaceful, positive environment.

I love spending time with family, pets, and enjoying the outdoors.

Bookkeeper

I am working in the Bookkeeping department at EEI. After years of sorting receipts for my husband, I was ready for a new challenge!

My life is very full with my spiritual routine, my Family, Beekeeping, being a Chicken mom, taking care of my Greenhouse, being the CEO for Ryan's Mechanical 🤣, and Vacation home management.

I am content to live a simple, country, quiet life with family and good friends.

Head of Tax Department

You may wonder “how can someone actually enjoy doing taxes?” I do love numbers but for me it comes from my desire to help people. The Canadian tax system and the Canada Revenue Agency are the source of stress and anxiety to many people. My understanding of the tax system and my lack of fear of the CRA put me in a position to be able to help people. Since my childhood dream of being bitten by a radioactive spider has yet to materialize, this will suffice. “With great power comes great responsibility”.

In 2022 I completed my DFA - Tax Service Specialist and every year I take Continuing Education courses to keep up to date on the changes to the tax system.

When I’m not in the office you can find me enjoying nature with my family and my dogs. I love camping, hiking, biking, kayaking, snowboarding

Growing up I never thought I would have wanted to work at an office but I genuinely enjoy working for Ashley. We have such a great team here and I’m so happy I get to be apart of it.

When I’m not at Elation I am often running my photography business or hanging out with my husband (Chris), or with our daughter Amelia.
